Slays for Days

Heyyy wonderful people! I love a good look. Even on a casual day, I feel like it's an opportunity to look good. From hair, to accessories, clothes to shoes, I'll give you ideas to help you slay the day away!

Recently I have been on my P's and Q's with the fits. Like day after day, bar for bar, no misses type vibes. And I love that for me. So, this post will focus on fit inspiration. While some think that my looks are completely effortless, it doesn't just automatically come to me all the time. Sometimes I take inspiration from Pinterest or Instagram, other times I have one piece that I really want to wear and I center the whole fit around that. If y'all are interested, I can make another post about the process of putting together an outfit. But for now, let's look at some fits I've already worn. This particular post will be filled with outfit photos taken at the end of last year.

I like every outfit that is in this post, which is why I wore them.

My personal style does not fit in a single category because it changes on a daily based on how I feel. I enjoy trying different looks and styles. On occasion, I seem overdressed to others, however, I enjoy dressing nice on a regular. And I have come to realize that my casual is not always as casual as others would think. We each have our own personal style and clothing is just one way we can express that. Let me know how you'd make my fits work for your personal style!

I love a good bright color. Hence the bright pink top. This outfit was comfy and casual while still being cute. The top was like a thin sweatshirt while the bottoms were leggings. This look works on a cooler day but could possibly work with biker shorts for a warmer day. The shirt was made with an off the shoulder neckline so I decided to wear a colored bralette to add flare to the look. I got the bottoms from Walmart, they are the flare leggings (which I lovee). I chose the black pair because I already had pink going with the top and shoes and purple in the bralette. Another color on bottom would have just been doing too much for me. That purse was the perfect accessory because it was black and white with pink add ons. I feel like my hair went perfect with this look. It was fluffy and fell right at my shoulders which worked great with the cut of the top. All in all, I love this fit.

This hat is the moment. My professor even noticed it this day and complimented me on my style. This was a full day of classes for me last fall. So I wanted to be comfy while still being warm and stylish. I went with a base of a matching pink leggings and turtleneck set. Then I added a cute grey sweatshirt over top. I felt like the full pink base was enough color so I decided to accessorize with silver and black. (Because there was black already in my sweatshirt.) The hat just went so well with the look. And the pearls gave it a more girly, dressy type look. I used a black cross body purse this day. And you can't see them in the pic, but I had on black combat looking boots that had silver deco on it. For accessories I went with silver hoops because, why not. Then my classic J necklace, which is very simple, and a sparkly bracelet (thats technically a anklet lol, *innovation*). And I love a good ring. I do have tiny hands so it can be hard to find rings in my size but both of the ones I'm wearing here are real so they got resized to fit. One is my class ring and the other was a gift from my parents for Christmas. I love both very dearly, they are super special to me. This look could be re-created with different base colors as well. All in all, this fit was so warm, comfy, and super stylish.

This was such a cute and comfy fit. It was simple but the accessories really made it come together for me. When I'm in a plain tee, a layered necklace look is a go to for me. The ponytail pulled back really helps the hoops to shine a bit more too. This look can work for both warm and cooler temperatures. For a hotter day you can use these same bottoms but do a short sleeve or sleeveless all black top. I personally do a black crop top. And of course the jacket is optional. I LOVE these pants. They are super soft and very comfy. They are a high waisted flared legging type vibe. The pattern is so fun and versatile. I used these same bottoms in a look for new years with a gold, silky, button down. I truly think the pants were the star of this look.

I felt so stylish in this outfit. The hair and the hat with the long layered necklace just fit so well. The red in the hat pulls from the red in the top. The polka dots in the hat fits well with the dots on the scrunchie and the tights. The gold necklace fits well with the gold dots on the scrunchie. The black in the hat goes with the black tights and the all black shoes. The jeans are simple but have huge rips in them allowing the tights to show through. I love these jeans. They are called 'skater' due to the loose leg. They are quite a thin material which helps this outfit to be fitting for the warmer weather. Just trade out the long sleeve top with a crop or short sleeve solid top and it's perfect. You can also trade out the top color and hat (to keep the hat and top matching of course).

One thing about me, imma wear a hat mmk. Love a good hat! This fit just felt so crisp to me. The all white top with the all white shoes, plus the white from the rips with the white sunnies and white accents in the hat. It's giving crispie. I love color but I wanted this fit to be chill and I didn't want to overdo it. So I used the blue hat and put on blue socks that matched almost perfectly. I also accessorized with silver necklaces, rings, and earrings. Like I've said before, I love a layered necklace look with a plain top. These necklaces are like staple pieces because I used more chunky ones. I went with silver because in my head, it just matches with a blue look. This look could also be done for warmer weather. Like the others, trade the long sleeves with a short sleeve or crop top. And with this one, a cute pair of dark wash high waisted denim shorts could make this fit better for warmer temps. Overall this is a simple and stylish look that I really enjoyed.

So, moral of the story is, I like cute outfits lol. But seriously, a cute fit can completely turn around your day. When you look good it makes it easier to feel good. So if I want to set a positive tone for my day, I spend a little extra time to put a little more thought into what I'm wearing. That small extra step in my day can make all the difference. There definitely will be more fashion post to come, especially once the season changes and it gets a little cooler. Let me know how you would make these fits your own! I would love to see what you do to individualize your look. Be sure to stick around for new posts, and since you're already here, check out one of my older posts.

Love ya muchly,

~Riah~
